Studio Rental Agreement & Liability Waiver

By signing this agreement, I ("Renter") acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions for the use of Upperroom Dance Studio.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that dancing, fitness activities, rehearsals, workshops, filming, and similar physical activities involve inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to falls, strains, sprains, or other physical injuries. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my use of the studio.

2. Release of Liability

I release, waive, and discharge Upperroom Dance Studio, its owners, employees, coaches, contractors, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, or causes of action arising from injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal property that may occur while using the studio, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

3. Responsibility for Guests

The person booking the studio is responsible for the conduct and safety of all individuals attending under their reservation. The renter agrees to ensure that all participants comply with the studio's rules and policies.

4. Studio Rules

The renter agrees to:

• Use the studio only during the reserved time.

• Leave the studio clean and in the same condition it was received.

• Dispose of all rubbish before leaving.

• Respect the equipment, mirrors, flooring, sound system, and studio property.

• Wear appropriate footwear suitable for dance floors.

• Refrain from smoking, vaping, or using illegal substances inside the premises.

• Avoid any activity that may damage the studio or disturb neighbouring businesses.

5. Damage to Property

The renter accepts responsibility for any damage caused by themselves or their guests during the rental period. Upperroom Dance Studio reserves the right to charge the renter for repair or replacement costs resulting from negligence or misuse.

6. Personal Belongings

Upperroom Dance Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Please keep valuables with you at all times.

7. Medical Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, I authorise Upperroom Dance Studio staff to seek medical assistance if deemed necessary. Any medical expenses incurred shall be my responsibility.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Rental fees are subject to the studio's cancellation and rescheduling policy. Failure to attend a booking does not automatically qualify for a refund.

9. Photography & Video

The renter is responsible for obtaining permission from all participants before recording or photographing individuals during the rental period. Upperroom Dance Studio is not responsible for disputes relating to media captured by renters.

10. Compliance

The renter agrees to comply with all instructions provided by Upperroom Dance Studio staff. Failure to follow studio rules may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.

Additional Terms & Conditions

11. Security Deposit

A ₱500 refundable security deposit is required before the rental begins. The deposit will be returned after the rental period once the studio has been inspected and confirmed to be free of any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning requirements.

If any damage to the studio, equipment, furniture, or fixtures is found, Upperroom Dance Studio reserves the right to deduct the appropriate repair or replacement costs from the security deposit. If the cost of repairs exceeds the security deposit, the renter agrees to pay the remaining balance.

12. Overtime Charges

The renter is expected to vacate the studio promptly at the end of the reserved booking time.

Any use of the studio beyond the reserved time will incur the following overtime charges:

• Up to 15 minutes: ₱350

• Up to 30 minutes: ₱700

• Up to 1 hour: ₱1,000

Overtime is subject to studio availability. If another booking is scheduled immediately after your reservation, you may be required to end your session on time regardless of whether you are willing to pay the overtime fee.

13. Use of Upperroom Dance Studio Name

Renting the studio does not create any partnership, sponsorship, employment, or affiliation with Upperroom Dance Studio.

The renter may not claim, imply, advertise, or represent themselves, their organisation, event, workshop, production, or business as being officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Upperroom Dance Studio without prior written permission from the studio management.

Upperroom Dance Studio reserves the right to request the removal of any promotional materials or social media content that inaccurately represents such an affiliation.

Acknowledgement

By signing below, I confirm that:

• I am at least 18 years of age or am signing as the parent/legal guardian of a minor.

• I have read and fully understand this Studio Rental Agreement & Liability Waiver.

• I voluntarily agree to all terms and conditions stated above.
